The leafy village in the borough of Sutton. It has the Lumley Chapel and the Whitehall Gallery a beautiful 16th century building full of charm with its exposed timbers. Cheam also backs onto Nonsuch Park, which Henry VIII built a palace which was never finished and later pulled down. A great gothic building Nonsuch Park House is in the park.
